Leah is a PhD student whose research is centred around mapping landscape change and community wellbeing on coastal islands in transboundary marine environments. She holds a Bachelor of Community Design, Hon., complemented by a Certificate in GIS, and a Masters in Marine Management. Leah believes that mapping comes in various forms and can offer a better understanding of the social intersections in coastal seascapes.

We respectfully acknowledge that the Map Shop is situated on the Coast Salish and Straits Salish Territories of the Lekwungen and W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples.

We are committed to engaging with and learning from diverse Indigenous Peoples and communities across Turtle Island as well as addressing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls To Action, and the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
